Gordon Kirkby

Gordon Kirkby

Gordon Kirkby was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1985 and is a partner with the KIRKBY FOURIE COERTZE law firm in the City of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Gordon was born and raised in Saskatchewan. Gordon graduated with a Bachelor of Science Advanced in Mathematics, magna cum laude and a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has practised extensively throughout northern Saskatchewan, developing strong ties to various local communities in the province. Gordon's knowledge of government workings was greatly enhanced by his service as mayor of Prince Albert, followed by being elected as a Member of Parliament. Gordon served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General for Canada, Chair of the Standing Committee for Natural Resources, Chair of the Standing Committee for Aboriginal Affairs, Northern Development and Chief Federal Negotiator. Gordon is also a past Member of the Board of Governors, University of Saskatchewan and the Board of Police Commissioners in the City of Prince Albert. Gordon's 30+ combined years of experience in the legal and political arenas has allowed him to be particularly effective in a wide range of legal work helping to develop productive relationships between various local communities, companies, and/or governmental entities. Gordon also has extensive experience as a criminal defence lawyer at various levels of court. Gordon, an avid hunter and fisherman in his spare time, lives in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan with his wife celebrated Canadian author Mary-Ann Kirkby and son Levi Kirkby.

Philip Fourie

Philip Fourie, B.L.C., LL.B., M.Env.Mgmt. (Dist.), is a Partner with the KIRKBY FOURIE COERTZE law firm in the City of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Philip is a former Military Judge, federal crown prosecutor, Government legal adviser, and Governor of The Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. Philip serves on the Board of Directors of several charitable organizations and companies including Christian Legal Fellowship, the Foundation for Cross Cultural Education Canada, and Kingsmere Resource Services Inc. Over the past ten years Philip has acted as litigation counsel in a number of National high-profile public interest Constitutional Law and Administrative Law cases. His general practice includes a special emphasis on Real Estate, SGI/No Fault/Tort Insurance, Personal Injury and Wills & Estates, Civil Litigation, and Administrative law. Philip resides in Prince Albert with his wife, Noelene le Roux-Fourie and his three sons.

Thomas Coertze

Thomas Coertze, LL.B is an Associate with the KIRKBY FOURIE COERTZE law firm in the City of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He has practised law in multiple jurisdictions which assists him in the facilitation of international commercial transactions. Thomas enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends and travelling.

Clark McKay 

Clark McKay was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1999 and is a senior associate with the Kirkby Fourie Coertze law firm in the City of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Clark grew up in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. He studied Behavioral Sciences at Mount Royal College, Calgary and then transferred to the Honours Program in Psychology at the University of Calgary. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto in 1998. In 1998 Clark also completed an intensive program in Lands, Resources, and First Nations Governments at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Clark has practised in Saskatoon and throughout northern Saskatchewan primarily in the area of criminal and aboriginal law (including IAP, day-school and 60 scoop claims). His extensive experience as prosecutor and criminal defense counsel at all levels of Court in Saskatchewan enables him to provide effective and efficient representation to his clients. Clark enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. Clark lives in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Monika Goyal

Monika Goyal (Student at Law), BA LL.B is currently articling with the Kirkby Fourie Coertze law firm in the City of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Monika is excited to engage with all the areas of law during her time as an Articling student. She was heartily involved in parliamentary debates and moot courts at National and International level. Monika has spent several years working in corporate and commercial areas of law. Out of office, she enjoys family time with her husband Sumit Goyal and their son.
